AREASALESDISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Area Sales Distribution Supervisor is responsible for the effective leadership, operational management, business development and initiatives, and overall profitability of his assigned area.He shall be responsiblefor achieving the objectives of his area along with ensuring the development, tracking and reporting of sales and action plans in collaboration with the sales team.

The aim of an Area Sales Distribution Supervisoris to ensure compliance in all areas of operational activity and drive sales and profitability through the performance and development of the store personnel, whilst managing within agreed budget. As an Area Sales Distribution Supervisor, he shall work closely with staff, store managers and department managers.He is responsible for ensuring that hisstore personnelkeep stores to the highest possible standards, being well organized and properly merchandised at all times; and that all policies, procedures, and controls are followed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Contributes to the formulation and direction of the retail strategy and implements projects for the area

2.Achieves area sales targets and budget targets in line with the area sales performance

3.Ensures that all stores adhere to compliance requirements in all areas of operational activity, company policies and procedures

4.Achieves all compliance requirements with regards tosecurity and cash

5.Communicates business and area objectives to store personnelso that they remain well informed of business activity and of their required contribution to targets

6.Develops an effective network of communication across the area to ensure shared knowledge and understanding of business activity

7.Supports the management of customer service activities and staff competence so as to optimize and sustain sales performance and customer satisfaction

8.Achieves stock control targets in line with company guidelines to prevent financial loss

9.Encourages store personnelto seek and continuously develop knowledge of competitor activity and local market conditions, with the purpose of making appropriate and innovative recommendations to drive the business forward

10.Encourages store personnelto identify trends and make suggestions to improve and enhance product performance to drive brand achievement

11.Identifies under-performing stores and develops a business plan to address and manage issues effectively

12.Achieves stock loss targets

13.Coordinates with the Buying and Merchandising Department regarding the supply of stocks in the area to maximize stock potential

14.Ensures that the visual presentation of all stores represents the brand image

15.Collates and provides constructive feedback on VM standards to the business

16.Supports the delivery of all marketing campaigns

17.Recruitsand ensuresthe full implementation of job induction programs for store personneland monitorsongoing performance needs

18.Managesthe performance and development of store personnelto drive and maximize the sales performance throughout the area

19.Plansfor succession in the area through the identification of individuals with potential for development and growth

20.Performs other tasks required by the Immediate Superior and Management

III. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS

1.Male or Female, not more than 35years old

2.Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degreein Business Studies, Administration, Management, Commerce, Economics, Marketing or equivalent

3.At least3yearsof working experience in Area Sales Management.Experience in fashion retail is a definite advantage

4.Highly computer literate and with excellent communication and leadership skills

5.Has excellent customer service skills and with pleasing personality 6.Must have a sense of urgency and initiative to perform set duties even without instructions
