The model above features the texts “Pilipinas” and “1898” stitched in white and surrounded by three five-point stars. 1898 was the year when the Philippines officially declared its independence from Spain. The words “Alab ng Puso” from the national anthem Lupang Hinirang is stamped on the cap’s sweatband. Size is 7 1/8”. Price is Php2,295.

Another model from the Independence Day collection adopts a minimalistic design, displaying “1898” stitched in gold across the front panels. On the underside of the visor is the faint outline of five of eight rays from the sun in the Philippine flag. The cap is offered in sizes S and M. Price is Php2,095.

“Pilipinas” is stitched in gold and written in cursive script in the third design from New Era. This is accompanied by a “Perlas ng Silangan” stitched at the back. Perlas ng Silangan translates to “Pearl of the “Orient”, referring to our country’s natural beauty. It is available for Php1,895.
