New Era — the international lifestyle brand with an authentic sports heritage that dates back to 1920 — is releasing the VAN GOGH collection inspired by Post-Impressionism artist Vincent Van Gogh, combining the brand's hottest hats with Van Gogh's iconic paintings, to pay tribute to the most influential artist in history with street fashion.
This year, New Era launches the Van Gogh series for the second round, presenting a selection of iconic paintings on the brand’s caps and apparels in great details, in
cluding "Sunflowers", "Autoportrait" and "Starry Night Over the Rhône". The three cap silhouettes featured in the collection are the 9FIFTY snapback, 9FORTY and the trending Bucket Hat.
The 9FIFTY baseball cap is designed around Van Gogh’s works -- “Sunflowers” and “Autoportrait”. The paintings are being recreated on a patch, then embroidered onto the front of the caps, showcasing the admiration for Van Gogh's art in a subtle way.
A special feature is the “Van Gogh” wordmark embroidered on the rear, echoing to the theme of the collection. The 9FORTY Unstructured baseball cap and bucket hat are covered in all-over prints of the artist’s paintings “Sunflowers” and “Starry Night Over the Rhône”. The colorful designs are visually-striking and high-profile. Similarly, “Van Gogh” wordmark is embroidered on the rear, contrasting against the painting like a signature.
In addition, VAN GOGH collection offer streetwear apparel for mixing and matching, including two graphic short-sleeve cotton tops with "Sunflowers" and "Autoportrait" prints in the front respectively, both available in black and white for easy styling; on the back of the shirts, Van Gogh's classic quote "do not become the slave of your model” is featured, eye-catching and encouraging, prompting everyone to pursue their inspiration and imagination.
