New Era first crafted its professional baseball caps for the Cleveland Indians in 1934, setting the stage for what would become a historic industry shift. Recognized for its craftsmanship, the brand soon became the exclusive headwear producer and distributer for Major League Baseball. The well-known 59FIFTY® is a revised version of NEW ERA’s debut baseball cap. All details are expertly executed with an elaborated 22-step procedure that involves sewing and embroidering, resulting in a perfect headwear that stands the test of time. The fitted 59FIFTY® adopts a closed-back design, with no mechanism for adjustment, the caps are offered at different sizes for wearers to shop according to their own measurement. The fine range of options ensures comfort and a great wearing experience as if providing a tailored fit for every wearer. For this year’s festivities, NEW ERA introduces two 59FIFTY® DAY distinct headwear collections, plus a collection of exclusive metal pins. The two collections are namely NEW ERA EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION and NEW ERA STYLES COLLECTION. NEW ERA EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION offers headwear variations that derived from 59FIFTY®, including a black 59FIFTY® made from Specialty Moon fabric, a black 59FIFTY® SPLIT PANEL made from Ripstop nylon, a blue-and-white 59FIFTY® LOW PROFILE made from pinstripe denim, a gray 59FIFTY® RETRO CROWN made from OM Melton Wool, and 59FIFTY® A-FRAME adorned with cotton embellishments. Each silhouette offers varying crown heights and front-panel structures, thus suited for different occasions—59FIFTY® features a taller structure and a straight brim for better athletic performance; 59FIFTY® LOW PROFILE features a lower structure and a flat brim for a comfortable fit; while 59FIFTY® RETRO CROWN offers a retro look for casual styling. Additionally, six limited-edition metal pins showcase 59FIFTY® sizing chart and signature New Era icons.
The NEW ERA STYLES COLLECTION brings a mega-release of 156 distinct 59FIFTY® designs, offering headwear from MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL major sports leagues collections. The MLB collection brings a total of five headwear styles, while NBA, NFL and NHL each offers three styles. The sleek designs incorporate team logos or abbreviations in embroidery, allowing fans to represent their favorite sports teams in effortless style.
